EnvironmentSince 2008 Antalsis also has received the approval for its Environmental Management System according to the UNE EN ISO 14001 Standard certified and issued by AENOR. R&DResearch and development play a great role in the search for competitiveness. At present, R&D management in Antalsis is focused on the road safety, since it is one of the main subjects of improvement concerning the road infrastructures management. The modernization of the present road network and the optimization of the safety equipment on the roads are some of the essential pillars for the improvement of road safety.Regarding this subject, the Road Safety Audits (ASV) are one of the most efficient tools to prevent traffic accidents and reduce their severity, as it has been proved since the beginning of its implementation in the 90s in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. In Europe, the Directive 2008/96/CE of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19th November 2008, dealing with the safety management of the road infrastructures, forced the member states to guarantee all the trans-European road network infrastructural projects to be assessed by Road Safety Audits. In Spain, the transposition of this provision into our legal system has been fulfilled by means of the Royal Decree 345/2011 of 11th March and this regulation update has led Antalsis, by means of a R&D pilot program, to incorporate Road Safety Audits in the road infrastructural works carried out by the firm -.regardless of their category-. by means of a procedure matching the nature and importance of each road. CSR ProjectsSince 2008 Antalis has cooperated with public organizations, associations and various agencies in order to make possible the celebration of social, cultural and sports activities. For the next years the company has planned the increase of part of the budget exclusively geared to projects related to the Corporate Social Responsibility with the only aim of expanding the cooperation in all the markets in which it is active. |
